Junta’s air assaults destroy approximately 20 houses in Bilin

HURFOM: In the second week of February, 2024, the military junta launched two air assaults on Win Tar Ban village, Bilin Township, Mon State that destroyed 17 houses, reported the Thaton District Karen National Union.
The air assaults took place on February 10th and the 14th.
“Now, no one is in the village. There are also artillery attacks every day so no one dares to stay. Yesterday, some villagers went back to the village to check their homes and they have now returned,” said a Win Tar Ban resident.
Win Tar Ban village has about 2,000 villagers. Due to the frequent artillery and air assaults, the entire village fled their homes.
Armed clash broke out in Win Tar Ban village in December, 2023 and the junta launched at least six air assaults as of today. Villagers have been unable to return to their homes for two months.
