Junta’ soldiers kill villager and torch three houses in Tenasserim

HURFOM: Since October 27th, 2025, a junta regiment has been advancing into Lay Mile village, Tenasserim Township, Tenasserim Division and battling with the local resistant forces. The regiment torched three houses in the village.

The junta’s army launched airstrikes on October 28th, and then stationed themselves in Lay Mile village. During their military advance soldiers shot and killed a 30-year-old villager.

The armed clash has been taking place for two consecutive days. The villager tried to go back to the village but encountered the army at “the top of the bridge” and was shot and killed,” said a local source.

Then on October 29th, the regiment launched an airstrike and machine gun attack and a 30-year-old Duu Kyoe Lay Mile villager was killed by the bombing.

The 556th Light Infantry Battalion based in Za Well village launched artillery attacks and destroyed a house.

The villagers started fleeing when an aircraft dropped bombs. The regiment shot small and heavy weapons before the military advance. The army dropped bombs around Lay Mile village during the armed clash,” said another source.

On October 29th, the junta also launched an airstrike and machine gun attack on the monastery in Koe Inn village, Ta Ku village track.

According to local reports, since early October, 2025, there have been intense armed clashes in Yebyu, Pu Law, Tha Yet Chaung and Long Lone Townships in Tenasserim Division and the junta has frequently been dropping bombs onto villages.
