Two Nyin Htwe residents killed by junta’s artillery attack

HURFOM: On March 24th, 2025, the local revolutionary forces launched an attack to the junta’s troops who were laying in ambush between Nyin Htwe and Kyauk Ka Nyar villages, Yebyu Township, Tenasserim Division and there was an intense battle.
During the armed clash, the Kyauk Ka Nyar based 304th artillery regiment launched four artillery attacks and the artillery shells dropped and exploded into and outside Nyin Htwe village.
40-year-old Ko Ngae Thar was killed by the artillery debris while 80-year-old man died of cardiac arrest as he was frightened by the sound of artillery explosion.

“Ko Ngae Thar was hit by the artillery debris while he returned home from his plantation. The old man died of cardiac arrest as the artillery shell dropped and exploded nearby his house,” said a nearby resident.
During the armed clash, a fighter jet of the military junta was flying over Nyin Htwe and Kyauk Ka Nyar village and the local villagers have been frightened by potential air assaults.
“The armed clash stopped at about 11 am. After the battle, the junta reinforced their troops and advanced to Yebyu,” said the nearby resident.
There have been casualties of innocent villagers in Nyin Htwe village as the military junta has frequently advanced to the village and the Kyauk Ka Nyar based artillery regiment also launched repeated artillery attacks to the village.
