Mother and daughter injured by junta’s indiscriminate attack in Thane Za Yet

HURFOM: On November 22nd, 2024, the 310th artillery regiment based in Thane Za Yet launched an indiscriminate artillery attack on Thone Kwa village, Thane Za Yet Town, Kyike Hto Township, Mon State. The artillery shells dropped on a residential house and injured a mother and her daughter.
52-year-old Daw Tin Tin Khine sustained injuries to her lower body, while her daughter 17-year-old Ma Hnin Hnin Kyi sustained injuries to her forehead, back, lower leg and knee.
“In Thane Za Yet, the military routinely launches artillery attacks on residential villages. We fear the danger of artillery attacks every day,” said a local man.
In October, 2024, the junta’s indiscriminate artillery attacks injured seven residents in Thane Za Yet area while at least five local villagers were injured in November, 2024.
