Junta arrests local woman in Ye

HURFOM: On October 30th, 2024, 48-year-old Daw Tin Mar Win aka Ngae Nage from Chaung Taung village, Ye Township, Mon State was arrested at her home by the military junta after being accused of having contact with the People’s Defense Force.
“Her son is a member of a resistance force. As they knew about her son, they came to arrest the mother. But we don’t know what exactly happened. We also don’t know her whereabouts,” said a source close to the family.
Daw Tin Mar has been forcefully disappeared as of today, November 5th.
On September 10th, the father of a member of the Ye Guerilla Force – YGF was arrested by the junta under a similar accusation and his mobile shop was sealed and seized by the junta.
In September and October, 2024, under the accusation of having contact with the PDF, at least seven villagers from Chaung Taung village, Ye Township were arrested by the junta.
