Three killed and fifteen injured by reckless artillery attacks in Kyike Hto in just over month

HURFOM: According to data collected by HURFOM, from the start of June to the first week of July, 2024, three civilians were killed while another fifteen, including children, were injured by the junta’s reckless and constant artillery attacks.

In June, a 10-year-old novice, a 14-year-old girl and 20-year-old lady were killed by junta’s reckless artillery attacks while two monks and other four civilians were injured by the attacks.

In the first week of July, 2024, the military junta launched reckless attacks on civilian targets that killed 6, including three children.

Thane Za Yet base the 310th artillery regiment and the 44th battalion based in Kyaik Hto are responsible for the attack. The targeted villages were under the control of the Karen National Union.
