We didn’t hear the sound of military aircraft. We just heard the sound of an explosion just after the bomb was dropped. When the situation got stable, we learned two children were killed. The school was totally destroyed,” said a local villager.

The junta’s air assault on Ya Ngae village also destroyed a hospital building which was temporarily closed and a school.

Their military base was defeated and their troops were captured by the resistance forces on May 5. That’s why they targeted villagers with this air assault,” said a local source.
