Junta’s reckless artillery attack destroys house in Tenasserim

HURFOM: On August 24, 2023, the military junta stationed in Tenasserim Town, Tenasserim Division launched an artillery attack, destroying a house.
There was no armed clash that provoked the reckless attack.
“We heard the sound of gunfire coming from everywhere and we still hear the sound now,” said a local resident.
The 306th Artillery Battalion and a military unit based in Yebyu Strategic Hill destroyed a house in Ban Taw village with an artillery shell.
Military junta forces continued to fire artillery shells, indiscriminately, until August 25.
Villagers from Bam La Mus, Eastern Maw Tone and Ta Mote Chone village tracks were forced to flee from their homes.
