Woman steps on a landmine in Bilin, sustains multiple injuries

HURFOM: On August 23, 2023, a woman from Ma Yan Gone village, Bilin Township, in Mon State stepped on a landmine and suffered a serious injury, according to a local rescue team.
The victim is 50-year-old Daw War War Nu. She stepped on a landmine while going to her plantation.
She sustained injuries to her left ear, arm, buttocks and leg, and has been admitted to Thaton General Hospital.
“The villagers are worrying about the risks of landmines when going to the plantation and farm,” said a local villager.
