Junta burns down five houses and 50 acres of rubber plantation in Pu Law

HURFOM: On January 11th, 2024, the military junta launched an operation targeting Za Yet Sake village tract, Pu Law Township, Tenasserim Division and burnt down five houses and more than 50 acres of rubber plantation.
The regiment consisted of about 120 troops that went from Par Da Set Taw Yar village to Ta Po Sell Eain Zu village. They were attacked by local resistance forces at 1 pm, who used drones.
The attack forced the regiment to retreat.
“The regiment suffered a lot and retreated. They burnt down houses and rubber plantations beside the “Pyi Daung Zu” Highway Road between Set Taw Yar and Ta Po Sell Eain Zu villages,” said a member of a revolutionary group.
The regiment also arrested two local men from Ta Po Sell Eain Zu village during their retreat.
In November, 2024, the junta burnt down ten houses in Kyaung Nate village, Pu Law Township. FE5 Tanintharyi on December 19, 2024 reported that between 2022 to 2024, the junta burnt down 540 houses in Pu Law Township.
