U Aung Maung is the father of a member of YGF (Ye Guerrilla Force). After checking the mobile phones of the two men who were arrested first, the junta accused them of supporting PDF and then, they arrested the five other women the next day. The two unknown women are daughters of police members. We’ve heard they were already released,” said a local source.

HURFOM has been informed that Ma Khine Tha Zin Oo from Chaung Taung village was brutally beaten by the military junta and she is unable to walk.

The arrested have been beaten and some of them lost their teeth. They were detained in the Ye Town Police Station for five days after the arrest. But we don’t know where the junta moved them now. They haven’t been allowed to meet their family members,” said a resident.

Junta’s troops have been active in Chaung Taung village and the troops are surveilling the family members of those arrested.

“Since their arrest, we don’t know how to contact her or how to reach her,” said a family member.
