Junta’s air assault injures child and an adult in Kyarinnseikyi

HURFOM: On September 9th, 2024, a military junta fighter jet dropped a 300-pound bomb on Kyone Kha Wun village, Kyarinnseikyi Township, Karen State and the ensuing explosion seriously injured a three-year-old child, Maung Win Min Nine, and 60-year-old U Maung Pane.
“The fighter jet dropped a bomb at 2 am. Both houses were damaged and people were injured. The two victims have been sent to the Kyarinnseikyi General Hospital,” said a local source.
The junta’s air assault has forced hundreds of residents from Kyone Kha Wun, Taung D, Kha Lel – Da Gon Die, and Phar Pya villages to flee their homes.
In the second week of August, 2024, the junta also launched air assaults and artillery attacks on Ah Nan Kwin village, Kyarinnseikyi Township. The junta forces burnt down and destroyed more than 400 houses. The attacks also killed at least eight residents.
