Since November 10th, 2025, a heavy battle between the junta’s army and the revolutionary forces in Maw Taung Town, Thai – Burma Border, Tenasserim Township, Tenasserim Division has forced thousands of residents to flee to Thailand and other safe places.
“The residents fled to Thailand when the artillery attacks started. The battle started on November 10th and it’s still ongoing on November 13th. The army dropped bombs for two consecutive days,” said a local source.
The residents had to flee their homes suddenly and the displaced communities are in urgent need of food and shelter.
Some residents are stuck in the town and a 30-year-old local man was shot and injured. He was sent to a hospital in Thailand.
The junta’s airstrike destroyed the clock tower and the central market of Maw Taung Town.
Locals reported to HURFOM that the battle was still ongoing as of November 14th.
