The Couple Pagoda

The couple pagoda peacefully standing at Wearcadi Karen Village is one of the oldest pagoda in Sangkhlaburi district.
It's constructed before the settle of Wearcadi village.
Up to now, it's 200 up years old.

Keren people who have formerly migrated have met two ant-hills on one of them a field.
Just the ant-hill, but it stands balancely.
After carefully observing, They've met many old bricks spread around the ant-hill.
It's showed them to consider making new the pagoda on a place where they've cultivated.

They've constructed new, bigger and higher the pagoda covering the old one with the gold and silver appearing by
an ant-hill. Every year on march, Wearcadi Villagers celebrate altogether the couple pagoda to remember their ancestors and the Lord Buddha. And it's opportunity to find out the support for restoration also.

Tales about the couple pagoda're so long.
Someone said 'it's built by the fairies.
some said again 'it's maken up by the magic.
There were gold and silver apprearing from the earth.
Many tales're supernatural but funny.

To free from many wild diseases, it's built.
To kick out the bad demon, it's construted.
And to firm the villagers' mind, it's maken up.

Most of Wearcadi Villagers are the farmers and poor.
Just cultivate and farm.
They that time have to be really a strong community to be able constructing it.
The belief and mind power they have only.

The world has changed, also brought some buddhist life changed.
The temple was deserted, the couple pagoda was left.
And now it becomes old although some restoration's done.
It runs as like everything in this world.
Anyway we can save it so far as we can.

We always remind "It can be better and the Buddhism has to be onwards walked"
