Those are BURMESE appellations.
The Burmese have already degraded us enough please don&#039;t humiliate us further by attaching Burmese prefixes to our names.
Please enoble and dignify us by using KaRen words like Saw or Mahn for men and Naw or Nan for women. 
For those up in years we address them as hPoo [grandpa}  and hPee [grandma]
If they are around parents age hPaTee [uncle]  and MuGhar [auntie] 
hPee PawLuLu or Naw HtinPhyu would be the proper address since they have been identified as Karen 

I request, dear Mon people, please don&#039;t BURMANIZE us.
The Mon people have also suffered untold indignities from the Burmese [PaYor]
